Let’s see how to do it yourself. Since the cabinets are useful in storing many kinds of kitchen appliances, they are very essential for your kitchen. When everything is in place, you can have a nice and neat kitchen. If you have more money, you can hire a carpenter to install the cabinets. Yet, through following the right procedure of the installation, we do not see the necessity of hiring a carpenter when you can do the installation by your own. You can use that extra money for some other important things like purchasing the kitchen appliances.
How to Install Kitchen Cabinets
Most people may consider the base as their starting point in installing the cabinets. It is quite simple. Firstly, make sure that you have level floors. It would be useful in locating studs with a stud finder. You can now fit the first cabinet and make sure it is level then secure it with screws after you drill the screw holes from the top piece into the wall piece.
The first thing you need to do in installing kitchen cabinets to the wall is to measure the wall. Normally, the distance from the floor would be about 54 inches away. Then you draw the line across the wall horizontally without forgetting the already existed plumbing and wiring. You can temporarily hold the cabinets with screw in order to secure a support board on the wall, and finally, you can hang your cabinets.
For the kitchen cabinets at the corner, it would be better for you to install it before the base and wall cabinet installation. Use stud finder to locate the stud behind the cabinet, then mark the spot. Then locate those spots in the cabinets before drilling through the back of the corner cabinet with an 11/64 drill bit.
Renovate Your Kitchen
You can either renovate your kitchen or purchase the kitchen cabinets in new styles for a different look of your kitchen. Though the second one would take more time since you need to exclude the old cabinets. Yet, you can decide to do this on your own with a help from friends or neighbors. When you already know how to install kitchen cabinets, there is no need for hiring a carpenter.
