I am sure that we all have or had a bad experience with the amount of clutter that accumulates in using the bathroom area. We have toiletries and make all over the back of the sink. The disorganized bottles of creams and ointments are in the medicine cabinet. The cupboard under the sink crammed toilet paper rolls, makeup, hair products and cleaning supplies makes an eye sore.
I have come across some different and simple bathroom storage ideas recently. You can get the project done with a simple visit to Lowe’s or Home Depot in a free afternoon with a little inspiration from Martha Stewart.
Think about putting recessed shelves in your room to tastefully store and display things like your makeup or even decorative knick-knacks. Recessed cupboard and cabinet could keep your toiletries out of sight.
Start the project with thinking small if it seems overwhelming. Reorganizing the space underneath the bathroom sink is an idea to maximize the existing space. You cannot simply throw things in the cupboard to avoid an unorganized mess. A few small storage boxes and labeling could be useful. You can also stack them with the same size and shape. For easy access, you can simply put the boxes containing items that you don’t use much toward the back, with the boxes containing more commonly used items toward the front.
Using the space behind the door would be a very simple idea. We normally have nothing behind the bathroom door. You can simply hang little cloth bags there to store many things. You can store soap, towels, medicine, etc.
I really recommend you to build or install a bathroom vanity if you can get yourself more time, money and space. It could maximize the storage space even when you already have one. To put in a new one that has array of drawers and cupboards has become a great bathroom storage idea.
If you think that this project would cost you a lot of money, then you are not entirely wrong. However, you can spend roughly $50 (shipping included) at the Container Store on some mounting hardware to hang decorative bags, or purchasing a few boxes for your toiletries and makeup. If you think you can afford the new bathroom vanity and medicine cabinet or perhaps with a little remodeling, you can yourself a $400 to $500 budget. That amount would be enough if you do the work mostly by yourself.
